Platinum Coating
What is "Platinum Coating"?
This technology forms a uniform platinum coating on the ceramic surface to a thickness of 0.1mm to 1.0mm. The porous platinum film maintains its film by following the differential expansion of the ceramic substrate, ensuring stable performance even in high-temperature environments. Surface treatment of the ceramic maintains adhesion, and post-coating processing allows for a consistent process that achieves the same surface roughness as the processed product.
The synergy effect of the mechanical characteristics of refractory material and the corrosion resistance of platinum contributes to the effective operation of production lines.
By forming platinum and platinum alloy coatings on the surface of refractory materials through thermal spraying, the glass corrosion resistance of refractory materials can be dramatically improved. This allows for more efficient glass manufacturing than with conventional platinum products, using less precious metal.
ACT™ (Advanced Coating Technology)
ACT™ processing technology, acquired from Johnson Matthey P.L.C., offers the combined advantages of refractory material that is resilient to high temperature deformation and platinum metal that exhibits a high temperature corrosion resistance.
