What are "Platinum Thermocouples"?
High-precision temperature sensors made of platinum or platinum-rhodium alloy that enable stable measurements even in high-temperature environments. We sell platinum-based thermocouple wires, which are widely used in semiconductor manufacturing, glass, and the chemical industry. We have in-house calibration capabilities and comply with various global standards.

Widely acclaimed for reliability with established technology

A thermocouple is an electric circuit made by joining two types of metal wires, and is a high-temperature thermometer that uses the phenomenon that a voltage (thermoelectromotive force) is generated when there is a temperature difference between the junction and the base, and can calculate the temperature from the magnitude of the voltage. Platinum-based thermocouples can be used in oxidizing atmospheres of 1,000°C or higher, making them ideal for temperature control in the manufacture of steel, semiconductors, and glass.

TEMPLAT

As the negative electrode of pure platinum used in type R thermocouples has the disadvantage of easily fracturing at high temperatures, we have improved the platinum to achieve equal or better creep strength than that of a positive electrode at high temperatures.

Thermoelectric power of Type R thermocouples

This exhibits the same thermoelectromotive characteristics as the negative electrode of pure platinum currently in use, and can therefore be replaced conventional lines.

*The basic wire diameter is φ0.5 and the accuracy is Class 2. For wires less than φ0.5, the maximum length is 3m.
