We provide highly active and durable Ir oxide anode catalysts and Pt-based cathode catalysts as electrocatalysts for PEM-type water electrolysis. We are also developing catalysts to prevent H2 leaks and Ir reduction catalysts.
TANAKA has developed highly active catalysts for PEFC cathodes, catalysts with excellent CO poisoning resistance for anodes, and anode catalysts for water electrolysis by combining precious metal technologies.
We provide precious metal plating on electrodes of various shapes and plating thicknesses and interconnectors for solid polymer electrodes.
Ammonia (NH3) is expected to have potential as a hydrogen carrier as well as a zero-emission fuel that, similar to hydrogen, does not emit carbon dioxide during combustion. We provide ammonia reforming catalysts that decomposes ammonia to generate hydrogen.
H2 purification is realized using the hydrogen permeable films of palladium. TANAKA’s ultra-thin material processing technology and highly clean technology provide the films with high reliability and maximum hydrogen permeablity.

Precious metal compounds are used in many industrial fields as plating chemicals and catalysts. From general compounds such as PGC and Pd chloride to complex organics, we flexibly prepare them according to their application and provide them.
Based on “trust,” “security,” and “technology,” we propose a total system for scrap containing used precious metals, from recovery and purification to recycling.
