From the perspective of strengthening industrial competitiveness and economic security, semiconductors have become a strategic material for all countries and regions. Furthermore, digital transformation (DX) and green transformation (GX) aimed at achieving a prosperous and sustainable society are predicated on innovations in semiconductors.

Semiconductors come in a variety of types, generations, and applications. While the focus tends to be on cutting-edge chips, a wide range of chips are installed in electrical and electronic devices, all of which play essential roles. It is still fresh in our memory that the semiconductor shortage during the COVID-19 pandemic led to delays in semiconductor procurement, causing factories in the automotive industry and other sectors to halt operations.

TANAKA PRECIOUS METAL GROUP has developed and supplied materials, mainly precious metals (such as platinum, gold, silver, ruthenium, and palladium), used in the manufacturing of semiconductors and electronic components. In addition, applying these technologies, the Group also handles some products made of copper and aluminum. TANAKA offers a wide range of products for semiconductors, including bonding wires and precursors, as well as silver adhesives, active brazing filler metals, plating, and sputtering targets. These products are used in various fields, from general-purpose chips to cutting-edge chips.
