Since its foundation, the industrial business of the TANAKA Precious Metals has supported manufacturing around the world.
Through research, development and stable supply of precious metals and other materials,
TANAKA will proactively challenge environmental issues, energy measures and pollution measures,
contributing to the creation of a prosperous society and to the future of the planet.
Circular Economy
To protect the resources of precious metals is to protect the future of the industry.
As a company that handles rare precious metals and supplies precious metal products to customers in a wide range of industries including manufacturing, sustainability initiatives and contributions to the earth are both important business issues for us.
Therefore, we are working to realize a “circular economy,” an economic system that enhances the sustainability of our business by utilizing precious metal recycling technology that we have cultivated since the company’s founding.
A special interview between Kenji Fuma, Representative Director and CEO of Neural Inc. and Specially Appointed Professor at Shinshu University, and Hideaki Hirao, Managing Corporate Officer of our company, was published in the March 13th issue (released March 10) of “Nikkei Business” and in the Nikkei Business Online Edition.

RE Series
Giving Form to 100% Earth-Conscious Materials
The TANAKA Precious Metals developed the RE Series of products to reduce environmental impact and achieve sustainable and efficient use by curtailing mining of new precious metals. The key feature of the RE Series is that products are composed of materials refined from 100% recycled precious metals through the use of advanced recycling technologies and precious metal analysis technologies developed by the Group over many years.
Today, responses to the SDGs, ESG, carbon neutrality, and more are required around the world.
For the RE Series, we gather and refine only recycled materials of verifiable origin, contributing to green procurement recommended by the Ministry of the Environment (preferential procurement from companies that actively provide products and services will minimal environmental impact and give due consideration to the environment).
As of November 2022, the only RE Series product available is gold (Au), but we aim to expand the series include platinum (Pt) and other platinum group metals (PGM) products.
The TANAKA Precious Metals is contributing to the development of a recycling-based society through the provision of products that use the RE Series.
Product Production Process Using Recycled Material
Concepts expressed by the logo
We created a logo to represent the RE Series made from 100% recycled precious metal materials.
The concept of the logo is “limitless weaving.”
The infinity symbol ∞, which is used to represent recycling, limitlessness, and continuity, incorporates the concept of the RE Series that “weaving means creating something new by combining various things.”
The color scheme is based on gold and gray combined with navy blue, the corporate color, to evoke an image of precious metals.
The logo conveys, in an easy-to-understand manner, that the RE Series is made from sustainable precious metal materials, contributing to the realization of a recycling-based society.
