What is "Automotive materials"?
Automotive materials are a group of precious metal materials that exhibit high reliability even under the harsh conditions of automotive environments, such as high temperatures, vibrations, and corrosion. We offer a range of automotive materials, including materials for spark plugs, bonding materials for ECUs and power devices, catalysts for exhaust gas purification, and electrode materials for sensors, contributing to improved safety, environmental performance, and durability of automobiles.

Development of Materials for Automotive Applications

High functionality, low precious-metal content, and reliability TANAKA seeks to unlock the unlimited potential of precious metals.

TANAKA's automotive materials are designed to incorporate the excellent properties of precious metals—such as contact reliability under harsh environments, oxidation resistance at high temperatures, high catalytic activity that promotes various reactions, and durability against high-voltage discharges—with the functions required for automotive materials. We create new value for our customers through a consistent process from development to functional assurance.
